Supporting you to live your best life!

Hello & Welcome to Health Warriors!

I am SO excited you are here. My passion is helping Mums find that “me time” that they crave so badly, especially Mums who have experienced a premature birth or Mums who care for children on the Autism Spectrum. I love helping and encouraging them to put themselves first. To apply their oxygen mask so that they can cope with the rollercoaster of emotions that have to deal with every day.

Why is this my passion?

My amazing boys were born at just 25 weeks weighing 778g and 940g! Living in the bubble of the Neonatal, Special Care Baby Unit is only totally understood by other Mums that have lived through it too. After 107 days in hospital, I brought my babies home.

It was when I got home that I wish I had that extra support, I felt alone, no longer surrounded by the comfort of the nurses or the other Mums.

Both my children are diagnosed with Autism. Over the years I have gained a wealth of knowledge that I now share with other parents. From techniques I used to help my children to being the best advocate for your child, especially when it comes to dealing with local authorities, schools and getting the additonal support that your child is entitled to.

Since becoming a solo mum when my boys were 18 months I have dealt with many ups and downs, I call it the conveyor belt of emotions. Looking back I didn’t deal with those emotions in the best way, I became an emotional eater, I tried to cope through the downs with drink. The depression cloud has visited me a few times. It is only since I started looking at other ways of coping that I have realised there is a much better healthier way of doing things. Taking care of ME first! And THIS is where my fabulous Health Warrior Community was born.

“I am grateful to be part of this autism support group guided by Alex Chart. I feel it is a safe place for us special needs mom to vent, share our concerns and get tips from other moms. I like that most of the moms in the group have kids that are older than mine, so I got a lot of references for my questions. I also feel connected to other adults that understand exactly my lifestyle as special needs mom and don’t feel judged.”

“With all the confusion, lack of self care, and all the other chaos that comes along with raising a child with Autism. I was worn down! I just want to vent to someone who understands. Then I met Alex. Having a group of moms just like me who just want to “vent” and encourage eachother is refreshing! Majority of the moms are from the UK, but we all struggle exactly the same. Just being able to speak to moms who “get” me is such an encouragement. To share, to listen, to encourage. I love this group of moms. A judgement free zone is what a special needs mom needs sometimes. Thanks so much Alex for putting this group together.”

“The Parents of Preemies support group came at just the right time for me, it has allowed me to connect with other parents that understand how the unimaginable experience of having a premature child feels. Alex allows everyone in the group to feel heard in a safe and non-judgemental way. I always look forward to our meetings and feel lighter after every call.”

“I first came into contact with Alex after being introduced by my sister. I have never been a fan of online workouts and name a diet, I have tried it. However after speaking with Alex for the first time I was sold with both the exercise and nutrition plan. 6 months later I am on my 3rd workout program and I have gone from doing very little exercise to doing something nearly everyday. Nutrition is key and Alex has supported me with this as well and the portion pots are so easy to use. Thank you Alex for your continued support I highly, recommend Alex as a coach.”

“The NICU support group is amazing! So nice to talk to like minded mums about things only NICU mums will understand. Alex is the glue that holds that group together and without we would all feel a lot more alone.”

“Alex is a fantastic coach! She is so mindful of your capabilities and will help you adapt the plan to suit you. The support and kindness you receive from Alex, from the daily check ins, to her just remembering what everyone has going on in their lives. Everyone should be a bit more Alex!”

“Since joining the NICU parents support group with Alex I have felt not so alone and that there are other Mums like me out there going through the same. Alex has such a great energy, always listens to what you are saying and follows up with great advice.”

“Alex’s group for Parents with Autistic children is great! Twice a month I am able to talk freely about my child’s needs and behaviours. We discuss the highs and the lows of our children’s challenges, the difficulties they may have come up against since you last spoke and how you helped them. No one judges you, people listen and suggestions are made to help you approach and think of things differently. It’s a group that helps lighten the load.”

“I kept trying to exercise for a long time and had tried time and time again, unfortunately I never gained confidence or saw the results I was trying so hard to get. I was introduced, by another health warrior, to Alex. Alex came up with the best way for me to aid nutrition whilst exercising and suggested a workout program that she felt would benefit me. Alex knows her stuff! I’m day 56 in to the current workout programme and it’s exceeding my expectations. Alex is there to provide advice, support and a kick when you need it. The best thing though is having someone who has been there, done it and still working at it!”
